Terminal Capacity
Airport Terminal Capacity Planning
Data-driven terminal capacity planning platform to forecast passenger flow, optimize resource allocation, and prevent congestion across airport terminals.

Terminal congestion is predictable if you model the passengers, not just the flights. Terminal Capacity forecasts passenger flow through the terminal, finds peak-hour pinch points, and tests how resources should be allocated to prevent them.
It supports both day-to-day resource planning and long-term terminal planning, using simulation to compare options before they are built or staffed.
Capabilities
Plan the terminal around the passenger
Passenger flow forecasting
Flight schedules and load factors are converted into passenger demand by processor and time.
Capacity modelling
Check-in, security, gate holdrooms, and baggage claim are modelled against demand.
Peak-hour analysis
Design and operational peak hours are identified and quantified.
Simulation
Layouts, staffing, and schedules are simulated to compare options.
Resource allocation
Staffing and resource plans are optimized to prevent congestion.
Architecture
How it works
1 · Ingest
Schedules, load factors, passenger characteristics, and terminal layout are loaded into Helios.
2 · Model
Demand is generated and simulated through terminal processors to measure queues and space.
3 · Deliver
Capacity reports, peak-hour findings, and scenario comparisons.

FAQ
Common questions
How is access controlled?
By role, at the API layer. Every request to Helios passes through interceptors that check the caller’s role and scope before any data is returned, so the same rules apply whether the request comes from the application, an API client, or an integration. Nothing is governed inside the application itself.
